Can You Make Money with Free Internet Based Affiliate Marketing Program?

The short answer is, yes you can. You can join almost any affiliate program without paying anything. In no time, you will get your affiliate ID that is coded into an affiliate website. Your job is to promote this affiliate website. You earn a commission when you make a sale. This costs you nothing but the time it takes you to promote your free affiliate website. The question is: can you really make money with this free Internet based affiliate marketing program.

However, before you think you have died and gone to heaven, there are some aspects you need to consider.

1. Getting traffic to your affiliate web page free is harder than it sounds. You will have to work hard and master traffic generation methods such as classified ads, article marketing, forum marketing, blogging and so on.

2. Using the affiliate web page given to you by the merchant you are representing is a hard way to make money. If everyone is selling the same product with the same affiliate web site how do you make yourself stand out!

3. You need to constantly do some follow-ups before making the sale. This is true both online and off line. Very few people buy much today without thinking it over.

If you promote your affiliate website you are sending traffic to a page that gives you no way to follow up in the future. Your visitor comes to your page, looks it over, and leaves. You have wasted your efforts for nothing. The way to get around it is by creating your own web site and send visitors to it. You also need to build a list with creating a landing page to capture names and email addresses into an auto responder. It really does work.

Another thing you can do is creating a pre sell page where you give a personal testimonial on the product you are selling. This will help you make more sales than the competition who is using the same old affiliate sales page.

As you can see even Internet based affiliate marketing can go from being free to costing you a little bit of money for website hosting and an auto responder. However, this business opportunity is still cost very little compared to setting up a traditional business.

Do You Know Why Your Home Based Business Opportunity Failed?

Many people are interested in obtaining financial freedom these days. Many also will look at home-based business opportunities as a way to reach their goals. The problem is that about 95% of those who get involved with this business fail.

Let’s examine together at why many such home-based businesses are set up to fail from the start.

Reason #1: The opportunities are too similar.

Some businesses just try too hard to copy each other. In addition, the products and services are boring. To make matters worse, the marketplace the company is serving isn’t growing very quickly. This type of work from home-based business screams failure.

Reason #2: The business opportunities provide no supports.

Businesses are loaded with all kinds of headaches and hassles. It’s a huge struggle just to keep things going, market, and build a list. With this much challenges and no support from the company, people will just keep quitting.

Reason #3: The opportunities don’t compensate their affiliates enough to obtain financial freedom.

Most people’s goal is to develop long-term wealth. To do so, they have to search for a business that is already making their affiliates successful that they can duplicate easily. The fact is there are legitimate home-based business opportunities that offer this.

Reason #4: The business is filled with gaps and missing pieces.

There is so much hype. However, when you take a closer look at what’s being offered, you’ll find the work-at-home opportunity is pure fluff and fiction. If you do some research you’ll discover that only the heavy hitters make the money, the company behind it is getting rich, and the products and services being sold are only to the distributors. This would be a horrible type of business to become involved.

Reason #5: The business opportunities are too risky.

These kinds of businesses fill with problems, pain, and frustration. As a result, business opportunity seekers view them as a risk and don’t want to become involved with them. They know starting a business from home has to be right and if they see red flags, they will avoid it. Sometimes, people become so skeptical that they never choose a business at all. They fail to realize that the right business opportunities are available without the headaches.

Bottom line: it’s possible to find home-based business opportunities that work. You just need to take your time and careful research to choose the right one. Avoid the problems mentioned above and you will be sure to find the opportunity that is right for you.

There are many ways to market your home-based online business. However, not all methods deliver the same results to every business. While you learn your way around the online business world, it makes sense to start with the cheap or free methods of marketing before spending a lot of money on a system that will not work for you.

Here are three methods for marketing your business for little or no cost. Some will work better than others and some will take longer to show results. Find out the costs as well as the Pros and Cons of each method.

Traffic exchange

Traffic exchange is very popular for new online businesses. They can be free or charge on a monthly basis. With this method, each member views other member’s websites, usually for a specified period, to build credits. Their sites will then be displayed to other members depending on the number of websites they have viewed.

PRO: It’s usually free and can create lots of traffic quickly.
CON: The traffic you get is not targeted traffic, so usually works better for businesses that appeal to a wide audience. In addition, viewing other member’s websites can be time consuming, or cost you some money to purchase credits.

Online Forums

Forums are online communities that discuss specific topics. There are forums (or discussion groups) on just about any topic you can think of. You can find these by doing a search for ‘forum’ and your topic. You can also search on Google to find Groups for your keyword or phrase. Forums are usually free to join.

Most forums don’t allow commercial solicitations because the focus is on exchanging information. Be prepared to add useful comments to the discussion and follow the posted rules. You may be allowed to attach a signature to your comments. Put your website in the signature to attract the search engine spiders and send visitors to your site. Develop a reputation as an expert on your topic and give free advice when possible to build credibility.

PRO: You’ll receive targeted traffic as well as build credibility.
CON: You must be careful not being label as spamer. You have to spend time answering questions and posting comments. Depending on where you post and what you say you may or may not see a lot of traffic initially.

Newsletters

While starting newsletters does not bring traffic to your site, it does take advantage of the visitors who do come. The code for collecting emails can often be obtained from your host provider free or an auto responder service which is free or paid depending on your service. You should have a place for visitors to enter their email address and name on your site. You then can send them a free report or email regularly with tips or news about your topic. This will permit you to build a relationship with prospects as well as grant you permission to contact them again with your offer. It often takes up to several contacts before you make a sale, so don’t let them leave without getting their email!

PRO: It’ll permits you to contact interested prospects again and builds relationship with customers and potential customers.
CON: You need to provide quality information on a regular basis.

Each of the marketing strategies outlined above is proven to work. What works best for you and your home based online business will depend on various factors such as; what your niche business is, how much t time you can spend marketing and what information you can provide. Start using two or all three of these methods and you will be creating a solid marketing foundation for your business.

Running a business through the Internet can often be less expensive than a traditional business and allows you access to a worldwide market at any time of the day. However, the truth behind starting a home-based Internet business is that it can be as stressful as any other business. How can you prepare yourself for this obstacle?

Put on your ‘game face’

Yes, it IS tough to start a business. You’re guaranteed to experience times when your self-confidence is shaken. You feel the task is beyond your abilities and you beat yourself up for making mistakes. Know this - and move on. It’s part of creating business and you will have to face these issues whether it’s your first attempt or if you’ve been in business for years.

Changes happen fast on the Internet and that includes changes to businesses. One day you will be amazing yourself and the next day you’ll think you’ve been beat. The best solution to this is to expect it and plan to move on despite those feelings.

Don’t believe ‘the hype’

If the many programs that claim ‘instant wealth - easy to learn’ inspire you, bad news for you: it’s not true. Regardless of if you’ve been in business for a long time or this is your first attempt, business done through the Internet has it’s own methods and you’d better be ready to learn them if you want to make money.

People expect instant gratification when doing business online and can be incredibly fickle when all they need to do is click a button to check out the competition. If you are basing your home based Internet business on a traditional model that depends on walk-in traffic and personal referrals you will have to adapt your methods to an online business. You will need to learn the nuances of obtaining customers and keeping them.

The learning curve can be steep and some individuals find it daunting. The good thing to remember is that it is possible for nearly anyone to operate a business online no matter what his or her previous experience. Be prepared to learn and have patience with your attempts.

Don’t spend all your money

It’s easy to forget the need for a budget when you can spend money so easily online. Don’t buy into every business opportunity or training program. Visit online forums to acquire a feel for the best systems available. Make friends on these forums that will support you when you are overwhelmed or needing advice.

The only thing worse than finding out you made a mistake is finding out that it cost you money. Remember that every experience is a learning experience. Try to stick to a budget but don’t permit yourself to dwell on mistakes when they happen - learn and move on.

Taking steps to prepare yourself for the stress and rejection that all new business owners face will enable you to build on that knowledge and create a successful business. Thankfully, many who won’t make it that far leave the field wide open for you!

Handling the ‘If I’d Only Known’ Moment in Internet Based Affiliate Marketing

Copyright @ Lily Boynton
http://www.plug-in-4-profitcom

In the world of Internet based affiliate marketing, you can safely bet that the only constant is the rate of change. There’s always news of the latest product dropping into your email inbox. There’s always another promise of quick and easy money. Google will keep changing its algorithm, and new search engines are quite likely to pop up to challenge Google.

What can you do about this?

Continue to educate yourself.

Understand that those who rise to the top of any field are good at what they do. This means that they never stop learning. There are always new materials, new techniques and probably new ‘experts’ showing the way.

Most of us learn in three main ways, from experts who specialize in a certain niche related to our field, from others who are following the same path as we are, and by trial and error, from our own results.

You will find that the more you immerse yourself in the world of Internet based affiliate marketing, the more you will be able to analyze which products, services and opportunities are right for you.

Focus: Choose one system and stick to it for a while.

People who start out on online business with high hopes follow the same pattern. They get excited about a new product or system. They throw themselves into it and invest long hours and potentially quite a bit of money in getting it up and running. Then one day they get wind of another new system. Discouraged by the lack of results with the first “opportunity”, they decide to let it rest for a while and try the new one. Back they go into the cycle of try-the-new-product, get-discouraged, discard-it-and-try-the-next-thing.

It goes on for months, maybe years. They struggle to pay the credit card bills mounting from buying into every new system that comes along with very little money coming in to offset their ‘investment’. As they look back, they start muttering, “If I had only known then what I know now…”

Take time to plan.

Give yourself from two to four weeks to regroup. Go through all the products you have on your shelves or on your computer. Make a list. Decide which products you now know will be worth keeping. Then analyze the ‘keepers’ and pick on the best system for YOU to
use at this time. This will depend upon your level of knowledge and which one you would enjoy most. Work with your strengths.

Finally, devise a game plan. You are going to focus on this ONE method and devise a practical time-line to achieve results. Don’t be in a rush, make sure you give yourself enough time to see it ‘take hold’ so the money starts flowing in. That will give you the motivation to continue.

Clear the decks. Put all the products that don’t fit in with your plan in boxes or on disk for safekeeping. You may return to them one day, but if you’ve chosen the system that’s right for you, you probably won’t.

Don’t get distracted by new products.

Resolve to buy ONLY products or services that will save you time or money in implementing the system you have chosen. Never buy anything on impulse. Print out the sales letter, read it through, then put it aside. Read it through again the next day. Does it still seem so appealing? Check out a few forums to listen to the buzz. If a product doesn’t deliver, you’ll soon hear about it. If it is exceptional value, you’ll hear about that, too.

Some questions to ask: Will this help me to streamline the business I have chosen? Is it worth the money? Will it make a significant difference? Above all, ask yourself: Do I need this, or is it just another distraction?

Resolve to make this the year you will succeed. No more “If I had only known” moment, you DO know. So, make it work.

Home Based Internet Business: Beware of Myths and Misconceptions

Copyright @ Lily Boynton

http://www.plug-in-4-profit.com

Are you thinking of starting an online business? Are you overwhelmed with many home based Internet business programs available or concerned that you’ll lose money by investing in them? While many offers sound too good to be true, there are some very good ones available - but how can you be sure? Learning to read ‘between the lines’ will better prepare you for what’s really involved.

Here are some common phrases used in work at home ideas businesses and what they really mean:

#1 - Simple & Easy

Simple and easy depends on who’s speaking. A doctor may tell you it’s only a ’simple procedure’ but that doesn’t mean that you should attempt it yourself.

Many online businesses ARE simple to operate. If you understand how it works you will be amazed at the simplicity - but getting to that point will require time and experience. You may just need to try a few to get a ‘feel’ for the business before deciding which one is easiest for you.

Those who have learned from experience can look back and see how simple it COULD have been if they’d known what to do all along. Finding a trustworthy guide can be a great assistance to your business efforts.

#2 - Anyone Can Do This

Sorry - starting a business of any kind is stressful and requires a learning curve. If you are attempting an online business out of desperation or the belief you will make easy money you will face enormous obstacles. On the other hand, if you are truly seeking a business you can learn, work at and make a living from, you will find something online that fits your needs.

Studies of successful business people concur that those who make it have common qualities of persistence, patience and desire. These qualities are essential when trying to start an online business - do you have them?

#3 - Turnkey

The term ‘turnkey’ use to mean that a business was set up and ready to go. You will find the term in business classifieds where the new owner can just step in and start running the business. Unfortunately some marketers use the term to suggest a business is fully automated - that there is no work involved.

There is always work involved. If the business really is turnkey than you will begin work right away because it has already been set to go. If you want an automated business you will have to do the work to make it automated. Either way, nobody is going to give you an automated, turnkey business that makes money - they had to do the work, so why would they share it?

#4 - It Won’t Cost Anything

You absolutely CAN set up an online business with no money, but be prepared that a combination of no money and lack of experience will stifle your efforts immensely.

Most individuals who start or run a business with no money have learned how to make use of the best free techniques through experience. They have paid their dues by trying businesses that cost money. They have spent time in and around their industry or market and they’ve been able to see where they can cut costs.

If you are prepared to spend a LOT of time researching before starting your business you may be one of the few who does it right the first time. For most people though, expect to pay something towards your online business education before seeing results - you just can’t buy experience.

Home based Internet business
obviously has its share of work involved, but finding the right one has enormous payoffs many people are willing to sacrifice time and money to achieve. Running your own business is satisfying and can give you more time to do what you really want to do in life.

Creating a successful online business is within the grasp of nearly everyone who is prepared to stick to it. Face the task of starting your business with realistic expectations while continuing to dream big and you may just surprise yourself!
