People who are involves in online business understand that traffic holds an important role in their business. It becomes a mute point to have a glorious website or high demand products if no one knows about your business. One way to introduce your business to the public is by promoting them. Advantage of using articles to drive traffic is nothing new. A well design article marketing strategy will help you reach your target market easily. However, writing a few articles and posting them online does not make up a great marketing strategy.
Designing an effective article marketing strategy is not an easy task. Without any vocal point or purpose, it can do more harm than good to your business. Consequently, what are elements to maximize your article for your Internet based affiliate marketing?
1. Choose topic about your niche.
Before writing any article, ask yourself these basic questions: what is the core of your business, who is your target market, who do you want to sell your products or services to. The main goal is focusing on your target market to find your articles interesting and useful at the same time.
2. Do a keyword research.
When writing articles, do an online search for keywords that are relevant to your business. Use these keywords for your article, titles, ads and links. Be careful not to stuff your article with keywords. Article submission directories will not accept this kind of article. It is better to just write naturally and give valuable information to your readers than trying to please your ambition to be on page one of popular search engines.
3. Use structure in your articles
It is important to have useful contents in your article. Utilize search engine optimization technique in your articles to increase your chances to get more exposure by the search engine. Be sure to include a resource box at the end of your article. This is a link to connect your article to your website where more information about your business can be found.
4. Build quality content
You do not have to write a long article. A short article with 400 to 800 words is still effective as long as it is a good quality one. Consistent producing good content articles on your site will significantly boost your online business reputation and ultimately your profit.
5. Submit your article to multiple article directories
Choose the most popular and reputable article directories and post your articles there. Allowing your article to appear in more article directories will increase your chances of exposing your business to more readers and prospective customers.
Plagiarism of their articles remains a contentious issue among Internet marketers. It is very upsetting to find your articles being stripped out of your links, sometimes even has other people’s name on them, on other people’s websites. However, for many Internet marketers, article marketing is still one of their favorite strategies to drive traffic.

Good post providing anyone who needs to know how to get the best out of article writing. I think the most challenging task for writers is creating unique contents to publish to many article directories to avoid being deleted from the Search Engine listings as “Duplicate Content”.

Just to touch a little bit on article writing and marketing, as for me I don’t really send out my articles to many article directories. Only send to two and it’s working fine.
You can’t basically be sending the same article to 30 directories because the almighty google will look at it as a duplicated content and will only pick up from 2 or 3 directories at most.
But if you wanna send it for readers to read, then it will work.
But again, it depends on what you looking at when writing articles. to get readers from article directories or getting readers from search engine searches.

In 2007 I cranked out some 50 articles for syndication (plus 20 press releases). My experience with the articles was a mixed bag at best. Big negative is (I found) that some 50% simply plaigikarized my stuff, wit no hint of a “resource box.” In some cases they even substitutied my name with sombody else’s as author.
All in all this was a fine piece. Only negative is this theft problem.

thanks for your comment. I know how you feel. ‘being robed’ is not exactly a great feeling to have. I wish that we can do something about this plagiarism issue so people not just stealing other people works with no respect at all and nothing happen to them. Any suggestion on how we can fight this, Jack? I’ll be happy to be part of it.

Yes, duplicate content is very serious problem. That’s why I use ‘Submit Your Article’ service because they have article leverage that will give several version of one article. So far I’m pleased with this service.

The resource box is a great tip that many people forget. Anything that links back to your site is a big plus.
